FAQ
So, I've booked a session, what's next?
I will contact you 3-7 days before your session. At that time, we will discuss location, time, clothing, props, poses and I will answer any questions that you may have. On the day of your session, I would like you to be relaxed and be yourself!
For child sessions, I love capturing them in their element. I am not a "say cheese" photographer. I like to capture them playing with a flower or making a silly faces. That makes your images special and more memorable. After all, they don't stay little long. Your session will last about 1 hour.
For newborn sessions, it is best to photograph them PRIOR to their 2nd week of life! They are easier to work with and sleepier during those times. The younger the better. All newborn sessions are done in the comfort of your home. Your session can last up to 3 hours.
For adult sessions, tell me what style (fun, traditional, urban) you are going for. I am always up for suggestions or experiments! Your session will last about 1 hour.
After your session, I will begin to sort through your images picking the best of the bunch (15-30 images). All images are enhanced in the "digital darkroom". I will notify you via email once your 'sneak peek' is available.
Once your images are complete, I will upload them to a private online gallery. You will be notified via email. You have will have five (5) calendar days to decide what images you want in your print package and what products you would like to purchase. Please allow 2-3 weeks after images are ordered in writing by email to arrive. Images will be mailed or hand delivered.
How many poses do I get?
I don't count poses. However, you will be able to choose from 15-30 unique images in the private online gallery. When ordering your prints I do not limit you to one pose (with the exception of wallets). You can mix and match whatever way you like to complete your package.
Do I need to bring my own props?
You may choose to incorporate your grandmothers blanket and that is great! Again, that makes your images more personal and special. However, I have baskets, blankets and chairs that can be used.

What should I wear?
Clothing is a very important part of your portraits, but you should also stay true to your personal style. Rich, bright colors, as well as textures and layers look best on camera. I love fun accessories such as knit hats, scarves, leggings or colorful tights! Stay away from clothing with large logos.
When do you book?
I love natural light! The best time to photograph is early in the morning (1-2 hours after sunrise) or late in the evening (1-2 hours before sunset). I currently schedule my sessions on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. However, I may be able to accommodate at other times, just ask! I book a limited number of sessions per month.
