My Holiday Color Story
In 2004 or 2005, I sat in my church and read in the program about a Chrismon Tree. I walked out into the lobby and saw our church's example of a this tree. It was beautiful. At that moment, I knew what theme I wanted my family's tree. I filed the idea in my memory because at that time, it was just my husband and I and we pulled our little table top tree and hand-me-down decorations out the attic every year.
A Chris (Christ) mon (monogram) Tree is a tree that represents Christ. They are decorated in white and gold. The white refers to God's glory and white symbolizes Christ's perfection and purity. Each ornament represents Christ. Some symbolic examples are crosses, butterflies (represent resurrection), 5 point starts, doves and snowflakes. I am still building on my Chrismon tree. I have some fillers, but it is coming along.... Here is week 4's journey.
