My name is Candice! I am a wife and mother. Since my early days in college, I have always been the person to have a camera nearby to capture random moments. I had the film (or a disposable camera!) ready and loaded to take pictures of pranks we played or my roommates and I dolled up for a party. It was not until after my daughter was born in 2007 that I wanted to take picture taking to the next level. I wanted to learn how to turn my pictures into artistic memories. On Mother’s Day of 2008, my husband surprised me with a brand new shiny Canon DSLR. Photography quickly became an obsession and passion!

FIVE

Dear Daughter,

Five is a big number and it comes with big responsibilities.  You have entered school!  I know that this is different for you but we are two weeks in and you have gotten the hang of things like you were an elementary school student all along!

Over this past year you had fun learning ballet and tap.  Your instructor said that you had "grace and poise".  You have also becoming more comfortable in the water through your swim lessons.  You have conquered about 75 sight words and more short vowel blend words than I can count.  But I must say, my most proud moment was hearing you recite all 44 presidents! You amaze me more and more everyday!

Happy 5th Birthday...
