Welcome!

My name is Candice! I am a wife and mother. Since my early days in college, I have always been the person to have a camera nearby to capture random moments. I had the film (or a disposable camera!) ready and loaded to take pictures of pranks we played or my roommates and I dolled up for a party. It was not until after my daughter was born in 2007 that I wanted to take picture taking to the next level. I wanted to learn how to turn my pictures into artistic memories. On Mother’s Day of 2008, my husband surprised me with a brand new shiny Canon DSLR. Photography quickly became an obsession and passion!

Have you heard?

I am so excited about my first time offering Holiday Mini Sessions.  For those of you that know me, sending out my own holiday cards and planning my personal holiday session is something I love doing every year…. Please read the FAQ’s below to help you decide if a mini session is something that will work for you!

What is a “Mini Session”?
A mini session is a shortened version of my normal custom photography session.  They are a perfect way for new clients to get a taste of what custom photography is all about.  It is also a great way to update your family portrait or capture a special time in your child’s life.

How is a Mini Session different from a normal photography session?
Mini sessions last approximately 20 minutes at a location of my choice.  There are also other mini sessions scheduled before or after yours.  Mini sessions do not include outfit changes or several different backgrounds.  Normal photography sessions last 1 hour or more allowing enough time for outfit changes, several different poses and looks.

Who can book a mini session?
My mini sessions are for families of 5 or less, individual children and/or siblings.  Mini sessions are probably best for babies that can sit up with support or older children.

Where will the sessions be held?
The mini sessions will be held at an area park in the Metro Richmond area.  The location will only be given to those that book.  The rain date will be Sunday, November 4, 2012.

What time can I schedule my session?
Five session spots will be scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Your session time will be scheduled once your non-refundable deposit is received.  I will ask for your top three choice session times.

Due to the nature of mini sessions, it is very important for you to arrive on time (or early) to your mini session.   If you arrive late, you will only be given the remaining time to complete your session.  If for any reason, you cannot make your mini session as planned, your session fee is transferable to another date.  However, please note that the mini session packages may not apply.

How many “poses” will I get?
Your private online gallery will consist of 10-12 unique images to choose from.  You will be able to choose from any of the images to print.  With custom photography sessions, you are never limited to just one pose.

What can I use my print credit towards?
Prints, images on a high resolution CD, storyboards, standouts, canvases, additional holiday cards or mini accordions.  After your print credit is satisfied, you are offered an additional 15% off any thing additional you wish to order.

What will my holiday cards look like?
You will have the option to select from 1 of 6 predesigned holiday greeting cards.  The greeting cards are 5x7 flat and double-sided.  They come with envelopes and are designed in a way that will work great framed…perfect keepsakes for your family and friends!  Text and color are the only customizable options on the greeting cards for the holiday mini sessions.

When can I expect my order?
Your online gallery will be ready in approximately 2-3 weeks after your session.  At that time, you will be emailed the link to your online password protected gallery.  You will have 5 days to make your selections and place your order with me.  Your package will arrive about 1 week after your order is placed.

How do I book?
Your session fee is needed to hold your session spot.  If you have not sent your session fee, your spot is NOT guaranteed.  Since sessions are limited, it is best to hold your session spot by sending your session fee right away.  If you’re unsure which package you would like at this time, feel free to secure the smaller package ($150) and upgrade later.  Session fees are payable by cash, check or PayPal invoice (no Paypal account needed).  A 4% fee will be added to your payment if you wish to use Paypal.  Please contact me for Paypal payment directions.

Again, thank you so much for your interest.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to email me or call me at 804-307-7567.  I will be booking until October 27, 2012 but spots will fill up before then!
