Reconnecting.
Last October, I traveled to Norfolk, Virginia for the weekend... to my alma mater, Old Dominion University. It had been 9 years since I graduated and I had not been back to visit. Well, it was homecoming weekend and a few months prior, my roommate and I set out to leave the kids with the hubbies and have some fun!
We got to Norfolk on a Saturday afternoon, we walked the campus and visited the new, state of the art bookstore. We had a hard time finding it because Web Center was no longer used to house the book store. Our self tour was strange. So, much had changed. Just 9 years before we traveled campus daily ...the campus was our home. While wandering the campus like a freshman during our first hours of college life, we bumped into an old crew which included one of our sophomore roommate. There were four of us sophomore year. Although we all reside in the same city, we had lost touch. After the weekend of much needed time away and culture shock which made me realize I am getting old...lol, I got a friend request on facebook from that old roomie that I had lost touch with. That friend request lead to a few inbox chats and her booking a session. She wanted a formal indoor session and casual outdoor session.
I often wonder about some people that was once a part of your life and are no longer. It is always fun when you are able to reconnect. So here are a few of my favorite shots of my long lost sophomore roomie and her daughter.
